Hey, what’s up? It’s been a good minute since I last posted to this blog. However, in the spirit of the new year, I have committed to spend at least 10 minutes each day, Monday through Saturday, either writing or editing posts in the evening (between 8 PM and 10 PM). I have had the opportunity to host several medical school applicants since the beginning my first year at Case Western Reserve University SOM this past summer, so I think I have some good fodder for answering applicants’ questions. Stay tuned for that.
In other news, I have made a couple of other New Year’s Resolution-like commitments. For example, I’ll continue spending about an hour (give or take 10 minutes) in the gym every day, and I am excited by a couple of new activities that I will be starting this week, to enhance my weekly routine–including beginning training for a significant fitness event this summer.
School is going well–I have passed two out of two blocks so (at Case we have non-ranked pass/fail pre-clerkship years, organized into blocks based on organ systems). I continue to be amazed by the support of so many smart people around me.
All in all, life is good. I am very blessed to be where I am right now. Looking forward to the days ahead!
